HAT uses its strong presence on Capitol Hill to advance sound public policy and to promote the importance and value of Tennessee's not-for-profit community hospitals. Through ongoing interaction with representatives from the executive to the legislative branches of the government, HAT is a champion for not-for-profit hospitals. HAT specializes in professional, effective lobbying at all levels of government on issues such as tax exemptions, community benefits, TennCare, managed care and Certificate of Need.
